Olga Romanchenko
The pianist Olga Romanchenko was born in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine. She received her first piano lessons at the age of seven. After completing her instrumental pedagogy training witha major in piano at the State Conservatory of Donetsk, she moved to Berlin and studied at the “Hanns Eisler” School of Music and then at the University of the Arts. She subsequently completed a two-year postgraduate program in piano accompaniment and répétition at the “Carl Maria von Weber” School of Music in Dresden. Since 2000, she holds a teaching position for chamber music and piano accompaniment at the Berlin University of the Arts. She gives numerous concerts in Berlin and throughout Germany, performing music from Eastern Europe and from Russian, Ukrainian, and Jewish folklore traditions.
